That looks like an hot to ground or hot to hot arc, judging by the molten metals. Food for thought, an electrical arc is nearly as hot as the sun.
I don’t believe it was a full blown arc flash. Because if it were, he would have been essentially vaporized into pink mist from molten metal and plastic flying through him at Mach 7
